Why self-care? Waterman deals in workspaces for small business and creating business communities. So, why self-care? We believe starting and running a business is a collection of many individual parts. Our health is one of those parts. It involves diet and exercise but also treating ourselves like we would treat those we care about. We believe it’s an active daily process, but we also know it isn’t easy.
There is a perception that self-care is a spa day after a month of running yourself into the ground, when self-care should actually be the habits we actively form to care for ourselves every day.
To help us break the mindset and habits of what we might currently call “self-care”, we’ve put together a panel of three health professionals to shed light on what it really looks like to help break the endlessly-tired cycle we can find ourselves in.
“I haven’t got time to care for myself, I’ve got a family to care for!”, “My self-care is watching my business succeed.” The reasons we shouldn’t practice self-care are endless. Join us on Wednesday 15th for this necessary session exploring and discussing why we should be more responsive to our bodies and minds.
If you’re feeling extra loving towards yourself join us for a smoothie demo (and tasting!) at 12:15pm in the Training Room with Merge health.
