September Membership Deal
  • 20% off promotion is only for Part Time/Full Time or Team Membership sign up
  • Available to new or upgrading customers only
  • New sign ups to be completed by 30 September 2023, upgrades to sign up for a higher plan by 30th September
  • Adhoc charges are charged as per normal membership
  • October and November billed at 20% off price, December onwards at normal price
  • Memberships are on a month-to-month agreement (but cancelling within Oct/Nov means you forfeit any additional benefit.
  • Members who take up the offer will be ineligible to downgrade till start of December 2023
  • Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount

Security Deposits & Setup fees  

  • No security deposit required.  
  • No setup fees. 
  • No access pass fee for individual memberships.  

Contract terms / Membership  

  • Memberships are issued at one per person, however a business may have multiple memberships registered under the one account.  
  • All membership products are month-to-month.
  • Members may cancel at any time, however, there are no refunds available for any time remaining in their billing period (Please refer to ‘membership cancellation’ for further details).  
  • Members can start on the day they sign up, subject to induction availability and the new member must bring with them photo ID that will be sighted by a member of the Waterman team prior to their welcome.  
  • Prior to members commencing their time with Waterman, new members are required to watch the online induction video series and read through all Waterman OH&S policies. Members will then be required to sign a contract that confirms all induction videos and OH&S documents have been reviewed and understood.  
  • Members that have not undertaken the online induction process as stated above, will be required to complete the process prior to being welcomed into the centre.  
  • Following the induction process, all new members must schedule a required welcome meeting with a Waterman Community Manager.  
  • If a customer continues their membership beyond the month in which they sign up, the account will be credited a pro-rata dollar amount, calculated from their initial sign-up date.  
  • If a customer continues their membership beyond the month in which they sign up, the customer’s credit allocation will not be reduced in the second month.  
  • All contract terms and cancellation fees for additional products are applicable upon termination of the membership.  

Contract terms / Day Pass 

Use of Day Pass  

A breach of any of the above policies will result in an immediate termination of the users’ access to any Waterman Workspace.   

Usage and authorised users 

Your Day Pass is for you and your personal use only and you are not permitted to share your Day Pass with another person.   

  • A business may purchase a Day Pass on behalf of a visiting employee or guest, however, the contact on the Day Pass is the only valid user for that day.   
  • The Day Pass only allows centre access during the hours of Monday – Friday (9am-5pm) unless otherwise discussed with the Waterman team.   
  • A Waterman Day Pass provides you with basic access to the centre where you can work within the set business hours. Utilising other Waterman services such as 
    • Meeting Rooms 
    • Printing  
    • Reception services   
    • Day Offices
    • Guest Passes  
    • Out of hours fee
  • Using the above features will result in an additional charge that will be debited automatically from your nominated booking card by the end of the day/week/month. 

International Businesses

International businesses are welcome to hold any level of Waterman Membership provided that the following criteria are met 

  • Business must hold access to an Australian based bank account and hold a local bank credit card.  
  • All international businesses will be required to pay local 10% GST (Goods and Services Tax).  
  • All transactions will be in transacted in Australian Dollars (AUD). 

PAYG Billing

  • PAYG day rates and credit rates default to the lowest rate(s) as defined by the active products belonging to the contact on the account.  
  • Daily billing is calculated per calendar day from 12am to 11:59pm. On the commencement of a new calendar day the billing systems will start a new day’s billing.  
  • If a user accesses more than one site on the same billing day, the hourly rate will be calculated from the first time of entry in any site until last time of exit in any site on that day. If the sites have different PAYG day rates, the billed PAYG rate will be the highest rate of the visited sites.  

Access Passes & Centre Access 

  • By default, only one access pass is included with each Membership.  
  • Each membership must be allocated to a unique user. 
  • Primary account users can elect to have multiple users on their account, however, each user will require their own membership.


Example “Lynn, the business owner and primary account user, has 4 staff that all wish to access Waterman. Lynn can set up her Waterman account to hold all 5 memberships (herself, plus, her 4 additional staff).”
 

  • Each Access Pass is permitted to allow only 1 user into the centre. If a member swipes their Access Pass to enter more than once consecutively, the member will be billed a guest pass, Guest Passes are $35 per person, per day.  
  • Spare passes are not permitted.  
  • All members will receive the first hour of access, each day, for free. After this, members will be billed at the PAYG rate relevant to their membership level.  
  • Access Passes allow entry to Waterman centres during business hours (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm) for Access, Day Pass and Virtual Office members; Extended Hours (Mon-Fri 8am-6pm) for Part-time and Team Members; and All Hours (24/7/365) for Full-time and Premium Team Members. 
  • Accessing the centre outside of their provided hours will incur an Early or Late Access fee or $35 on top of their Day rate.  
  • Hourly billing commences upon entry to the centre regardless of time of day.  
  • Membership customers only receive a Waterman access card not a building specific card.  

Access Passes & Centre Access 

  • As per the Waterman Turnstiles how-to guide, one swipe will allow 1 person through and 1 person out. Should one person swipe in multiple times without exiting, this will be counted as multiple users and therefore will incur a guest pass charge for every additional swipe that will be automatically charged to your nominated card.

Move in / Induction 

  • Members can start immediately once payment is processed and the induction has been completed. Access to the centre prior to the induction is not allowed.  
  • Photo ID is required to be sighted when collecting access passes. The customer must have also completed the digital induction. Customer must confirm they have viewed the digital induction material before they receive access passes. Customer must book via online portal to collect their passes and meet the community manager at their home site.  

Multiple Memberships 

  • Members can have multiple membership products on the same account. Day rates and credit rates default to the lowest rate(s) as defined by the active products on the account. Hours of access remain user-specific.  

Guests & Sharing passes  

  • Additional Guest Passes may be purchased. Refer to the product Critical Information Summary for pricing details. Guest Pass hours of access are the same as the primary account holder. Members are responsible for their guests while in the centre. More information on Guest Passes can be found here.  
  • Sharing access passes will result in immediate cancellation of the agreement with termination charges equivalent to the remainder of the agreement including VAS products. Upon termination, any outstanding balance owing on the account will be immediately charged.  
  • All users are required to use their personal access pass when entering the building. Members must register their guests on Waterman Central and generate their guest’s unique user QR codes for guest passes. Tapping a single access pass multiple times on the turnstile to grant others entry will result in multiple access fees being charged.  
  • Guests and clients may visit you at the centre without an access pass if you have a meeting room booked for the duration of their visit, and the meeting room is situated outside of the turnstiles. In the event that the meeting rooms are all booked, Waterman will apply a $35 per guest fee to access the centre on a guest pass. This additional fee will be debited from your nominated credit card if you wish to proceed with bringing them into the centre. 
  • Guests of members must always be supervised. Members are liable for any damages or incidentals caused by their guests during their visit to Waterman.  

Loan Passes  

  • If a member temporarily misplaces their access pass and requires a loan pass for the day, they can collect one from the Service desk. Loan passes are billed at a daily rate. If the pass is not returned by COB same day a lost card fee applies.  

 

Lost, misplaced or broken passes  

  • Members must return their access pass on or before the final day of cancellation otherwise the customer will be charged a non-return fee, per pass. Refer to the Critical Information Summary for further details. Billing and system access will cease immediately upon cancellation. All services provided will end at 5pm on the final business day prior to cancellation date.  
  • A fee may apply for access passes lost, stolen or not returned after cancellation. Customer is responsible for all charges and damages incurred due to a lost pass until the pass is reported lost. Members must report a lost pass immediately, failure to do so may result in charges.   
  • Members are responsible for all activity conducted with their pass until it is reported as lost.  

Transferring Passes  

  • Passes can be transferred from one user to another individual under the same ABN. A transfer fee may apply. Customer can only transfer once per month.   
  • Businesses may transfer one per pass per month (Businesses wishing to transfer more than one pass during the month must see the Waterman Service team for further details)  
  • Pass transfers from one business (ABN) to another is not permitted.  
  • The primary account holder is responsible for all activity conducted with all Access Passes on the account. 

After Hours Access  

  • Access Passes allow entry to Waterman centres during business hours (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm) for Access and Virtual Office members; Extended Hours (Mon-Fri 8am-6pm) for Part-time and Team Members, and All Hours (24/7/365) for Full-time and Premium Team Members.  
  • Accessing a Waterman centre outside of the provided hours of access will incur an Early or Late Access fee, in addition to the standard PAYG rate for usage. 
  • If 24/7 access is required, members must purchase either the Full-time or Premium Team Membership or the Night Owl Business Boost package.   
  • For Day Pass members who remain in the centre after general business hours (Monday – Friday 9am-5pm) an ‘out of hours fee’ of $35 will be charged on top of the Day Pass charge.   

Forced Entry / Exit 

  • Forced entry into the coworking areas (anywhere beyond the turnstiles) will result in cancellation of membership and members will be billed the full PAYG day Rate.
  • Leaving the coworking area without swiping your access pass will result in automatic maximum day fee and late access fees being charged.  

Facilities and Spaces  

  • Members are permitted to access all common spaces within a Waterman centre, which includes Waterman lounges, kitchens and break out spaces. Members are not required to book these spaces.  
  • Waterman advise booking a meeting room to host meetings rather than conduct meetings within common space. This is because privacy cannot be guaranteed within the common space.  
  • All meeting rooms & casual offices can be booked via Waterman Central. Meeting room bookings incur an additional cost, based on the size of the room.  
  • Charges on all booked meeting rooms will be automatically charged to your nominated credit card.   
  • Usage of meeting rooms must be in accordance with our meeting room policy  
  • Under the OH&S guidelines, Waterman do not recommend extended use of business lounge areas as they are not classed as ergonomic spaces. Waterman takes no responsibility for injury sustained as a result from utilizing non-ergonomically spaces for extended periods of time.
