Expanding Waterman’s Reach to New Communities
The new centres will bring Waterman’s unique offering to four new locations in South Yarra, Merrifield, Blackburn North, and Mont Albert. These strategically positioned workspaces are designed to meet the growing demand for flexible and professional work environments closer to home. Each centre will provide businesses with access to private offices, generous coworking spaces, and fully-equipped meeting rooms—all designed to foster productivity and community.
Neville Waterman, Founder and Managing Director of Waterman Workspaces, shared his excitement about this next chapter of growth.
Waterman Blackburn North
Starting the 2025 openings, Waterman will open its Blackburn North centre in April. Located 18 km from Melbourne’s CBD and set inside the recently expanded and redeveloped Blackburn Square shopping centre, a strong convenience-based shopping centre anchored with Woolworths, Coles, ALDI and more than 50 specialty stores. Waterman Blackburn North is set to become a go-to hub for professionals seeking a productive and inspiring environment close to home in the inner-east.
Waterman Merrifield City
Also set to open in April 2025, Waterman Merrifield City will provide a much-needed professional workspace solution for Melbourne’s booming Northern Corridor. Located 30 km north of the CBD, Merrifield City is Victoria’s largest mixed-use, master-planned community (165 hectares) developed by QIC. This new Waterman workspace will offer businesses a cost-effective way to operate in a professional environment while staying close to home and meet the expected demands of development in the area.
Waterman South Yarra
South Yarra will welcome a brand-new Waterman centre in May 2025, as part of Greystar’s $500 million Build to Rent (BtR) development, this location will be Waterman’s closest centre to the CBD prior to the opening of Waterman Collins Street in late 2025. With its state-of-the-art facilities and prime position in one of Melbourne’s most desirable suburbs, Waterman South Yarra will cater to the dynamic needs of this professional demographic and offer a seamless blend of work and lifestyle amenities
Waterman Mont Albert
Completing the H1 2025 openings, Waterman will launch its Mont Albert centre in June. The centre is nestled in a suburban village close to excellent amenities and transport links. This new workspace will bring the Waterman experience to the heart of Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, offering businesses and professionals the tools and spaces they need to build meaningful connections and achieve their goals.
Supporting Business Through Challenging Times
As Melbourne’s economic landscape evolves, Waterman remains committed to supporting businesses of all sizes. The new workspaces reflect Waterman’s understanding of the factors most important to decision-makers and employees: affordability, reduced commute times, and access to professional, collaborative environments.
With the addition of these four new locations, Waterman Workspaces continues to strengthen its industry standing. By mid-2025, the Waterman network will consist of 13 centres across the city, with further workspaces expected to be announced in early 2025 and the opening of Waterman Collins St later in the year.
